Architettura open-source
The term open source was created as a method of software development open to contributions from anyone who can bring changes for improvement. It is based on the transparency of processes and the power of the network (internet). The expectation is to have a better quality, more flexibility, lower costs and the end of the marketing strategies of unscrupulous sellers. This is not to provide free knowledge and experience, it means putting the intelligence in the network according to the logic that the improvement of the individual contribute to the improvement of environmental conditions. In this sense, the open-source philosophy to become shareholders of architects and city administrators.
Speaking of open source architecture is emerging a viable alternative, a house that comes from participation in the project by the residents and providing a high degree of flexibility and adaptability. For this architecture is not new, the project opened, the layering, the convertibility feature of our residential historic city. Never before at this time is takes a distance between the real needs of citizens and the proposal of the housing market, the great German architect Frei Otto , author of, among other things, the Olympic Stadium of Monaco for the 1972 Olympics and a precursor of ecological setting of the project architecture brings to the fore the question: "Why do architects still draw in the name of the community projects and the same for all areas even if no one wants it?" - With the open-source approach is shifting from closed, which celebrates the author but not the habitability of a house, the freedom of dynamic architecture, open to the needs of the people, can turn in time, a 'architecture of participation in continuous improvement.
